Webinars Built to Inform
On November 1, we held our first webinar designed to inform those in our industry about relevant issues. This one, entitled, “Soup to Nuts: The Power of Contract Operations,” was facilitated by PeopleService’s Chris Gutschow with guest experts Jan Hagler, former City Administrator from Bethany, Missouri, and Sam Griffith, former City Administrator from Sandstone, Minnesota. Nine guests clicked into the webinar and asked questions of the experts that led to great discussion on the pros and cons of outsourcing operations. Of course, our point of view is that “outsourcing doesn’t mean out of control.” This is, frankly, a common misconception today, but Jan and Sam spoke to how their communities actually gained control of services, staffing and expenses with PeopleService on board in a full capacity. We will hold the webinars quarterly in 2018. Our goal is to present objectively on timely and relevant topics. Your input and requests for certain topics to be covered is welcome!
