PeopleService Awards Iowa Student First Difference Maker Scholarship

OMAHA, NE, 06/17/2020:  Leading water and wastewater company PeopleService has awarded its inaugural Difference Maker Scholarship to a student from Ames, Iowa.

Joshua Greufe is enrolled in Des Moines Area Community College’s (DMACC) Water Environmental Technology program and will start in the fall. Joshua is also going to participate in DMACC’s new internship program – a collaboration with PeopleService.

As part of that program, he will work with a team of professionals in the sector, become eligible to be certified in water and wastewater and gain first access to job openings with PeopleService.

“I’m very excited to learn how to succeed in this industry,” said Joshua. “I’m looking for a career that allows me to be of service to the people of my community. Water treatment is so important, and water is one of the world’s top required resources. I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to play my part in keeping my community safe and healthy,” he added.

When not studying, Josh loves to play guitar, video games, pickleball and basketball. He is also a certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist and fitness nutrition specialist.
